Our Story & Mission
Pregnancy Chance Calculator began with a simple question from a friend to our founder, Sam. He used his background in data and statistics to run the numbers and explain their fertility odds, and in doing so, realized a much larger problem: too many people lacked access to clear, trustworthy information about their own bodies.
What started as a personal project is now a global tool used by hundreds of thousands.
Our mission is to improve fertility literacy worldwide. We cut through the myths and misinformation to provide science-based tools that help you understand your personal chances and make confident, informed decisions about your reproductive health.
Our Team
Liz – Marketing & Design Lead
Liz has a background in health-focused design and digital media. She’s behind the look, feel, and user-friendliness of our tools—making sure they’re not just functional, but supportive and easy to use.
Sam – Founder & Data Scientist
With a BSc in Business Information Systems, a Masters in Cyber Security, and a minor in Statistics, Sam brings a unique, data-first approach to fertility. He combines his experience in systems and statistical modelling to create the proprietary algorithms behind our calculators, ensuring every estimate is grounded in peer-reviewed scientific research.

Editorial policy
We cite peer-reviewed studies, prioritise systematic reviews and large cohort data. We mark key assumptions and limitations in plain language. Every calculator links to its methodology and sources.

- Claims: quantified when possible, with ranges and context.
- Review: product changes are checked by the founder for accuracy and usability.
Corrections and updates
Found an issue or have better data? Email samuel@ludditech.net with the page URL and details. We review all reports and aim to address material errors quickly. Calculator pages show a last updated date on their methodology sections.
Privacy and data handling
Our calculators are built to be privacy-respecting. We do not store your personal health inputs on our servers. Aggregate analytics help us improve usability but are not tied to your identity. For full details see our site privacy policy.
How we fund the site
